Kenny School has received its budget allocation for the 2017-2018 school year.  Due to overspending by the district for several years, schools are receiving a 2.5% budget decrease as Superintendent Graff works to get the district back on track.  Pushing all of our current programming forward using the 17-18 costs, our school is short $105,211 and will lose our half time Math Specialist.  We will work to be extremely creative in planning for next year.  Please see the link if you are interested in seeing the numbers:  2017-2018 Site Council Budget Packet

Congratulation to Ms. Johnson!

No automatic alt text available. Ms. Janee Rivard-Johnson received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) for teaching mathematics in grades K-6.

Established by Congress in 1983, the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are the highest honors bestowed by the United States government specifically for K-12 mathematics and science (including computer science) teaching. The President may recognize up to 108 exemplary teachers each year.

In addition to her technical skills, Ms. Johnson is loved by our students for her warm, encouraging personality. She teaches after school math classes and leads the school math team. She’s also been known to pop up at her students soccer, volleyball and other sporting events on evenings and weekends! This is a well deserved honor!
