Here Comes The Bus App
Here Comes The Bus
Here Comes The Bus is an easy-to-use website and app that enables families to see the real-time location of their child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet or personal computer.
Using the Here Comes The Bus, you will be able to:
● Locate your child’s bus before and after school
● Receive a notification when the bus is near your stop
● Confirm that your child’s bus has arrived at school and at bus stop
***Please remember, Here Comes The Bus tracks
buses
, not students***
Minneapolis Public Schools does not participate in Here Comes The Bus’s Student Ridership program. Here Comes The Bus will send a notification when the bus has crossed a notification radius, which can be
customized in your account. The information is location-based, not time-based. You will not receive an estimated time arrival for the bus. Here Comes The Bus tracks buses on regular to and from school routes and afterschool activities routes to a student’s primary pick up / drop off location (such as a home address).
To set up an account, you’ll need:
Your student’s ID number
School code:
87018
Limitations of Here Comes The Bus
There are limitations of Here Comes The Bus which will impact families using alternate stops throughout the week. This is defined as a student being picked up or dropped off from one location one day and another location another day (such as in the case of partial daycare or shared custody). For these families, incorrect data will show with these altered schedules.
Field trips or athletic trips will not be tracked using Here Comes The Bus.
Support
Transportation Services’ website has links for parents with training tips and resources so you’re able to quickly set up your account and start using Here Comes The Bus.
