Get Ready To Read!

Kenny School will be launching our 2nd annual Read-A-Thon this February!

Our goal is for each student to complete 30-35 Reading Challenges

30 minutes of reading = 1 reading challenge

How It Works: Students will log their reading on their reading logs and return the to their teachers every week (Feb 8, 19, 22, and March 1). Students who return reading logs will be entered to win weekly and grand prizes. In-class reading will be tracked by the teachers this year!

Students can nominate their favorite books for an in-school, March-Madness-style Tournament of Books! Turn in nomination forms by January 28, 2019

Contact event chairs Tracy Babler (tracybabler@gmail.com) or Sarah Walter (swalter@hrii.com) with questions

Hey Parents! The 2nd Annual Kenny Read-A-Thon is happening now!

Our goal for the Read-A-Thon is to have our kids read more, learn to love reading and raise funds for Kenny Community School. Just like we did for the Fun Run, we once again partnered with Boosterthon using their BookPro platform. If you registered in the fall for Fun Run, you will use the same email for this program. We still need you to register for the Read-A-Thon, so if you haven’t already visit www.gobookpro.com and register your student.

TO REGISTER A STUDENT:

1) Select the blue “Register a Student” button
2) Search for our school by entering Kenny Community School in the search bar, or enter the registration code 811566
3) Enter your student’s name and select which classroom he or she is a part of and read through the online waiver
4) Check the box next to “I Agree” when you are done reading and select “Save and Continue”
5) Register any additional students (if applicable) by repeating steps 1 through 5

We want to get as many students registered ASAP so the kids can get started collecting pledges and donations online. The goal for each student is to complete 30-35 Reading Challenges by February 28th

1 Reading Challenge = 30 minutes of read-aloud or independent reading time at home

Please take 5 minutes today to register your student(s) and share the pledging link with your friends and family via Facebook, email, or text. Thank you!
