Here’s how it works:
Use the attached order form to purchase Bachman’s gift cards in any $5 increment amount from $5-$500. Send order forms and payment back to Kenny by one of the following dates:

  • Return orders by Friday, April 25   - Pick-up Gift Cards after school on Friday May 9th
  • Return orders by Wednesday, May 21 - Pick-up Gift Cards at Kenny Carnival on Thursday, May 29

Redeem gift cards at any Bachman's Floral, Gift and Garden Centers throughout the Twin Cities area, as well as through Bachman’s call center and at bachmans.com

Parents and Kenny students, join us for a fun morning of raking, weeding and beautifying the Kenny School rain gardens and landscaping. Plus, attend the dedication and celebration of our very own Kenny Little Free Library!

Parents, Community Members and Staff are coming together to launch a Family- Community-School Partnership Program, Action Team Plan (ATP), at Kenny Community School. Our purpose is to build a partnership program that supports all Kenny families so that every Kenny student has a better learning experience. For more information on the program, please CLICK HERE

Stop up on summer break books for your kids (and you!) at the Spring Barnes & Noble Book Fair. A % of sales benefit the Kenny PTA, which supports the Kenny Media Center by purchasing new books. Join us 6:00 to 8;30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 at the Barnes & Noble at the Galleria in Edina.  The Galleria is located at 3510 Galleria, Edina, MN 55435.

Sign up this spring to jump into a board membership this fall.  The meeting dates follow - then read about what each board does and chose one to get involved in! The names of the chairs and their emails are listed, too should you have any questions.

KENNY PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION - PTA 
The Kenny School PTA is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that facilitates parental participation. If it’s a fundraiser to buy something for the school, an after- hours social event or even an event during school hours that requires parent volunteers, chances are, the PTA is involved! Here’s a list of what we do.

SITE COUNCIL
The Site Council is a group of staff and parents who work on issues related to governing the affairs of the school, including budgets, policies, curriculum. This is the planning arm of the school and works very closely with the principal and the School Improvement Plan, which is issued by the district.
When does the Site Council meet? The first Tuesday of every month (during the school year) at 6:00 p.m. in the Kenny Art Room. The meetings are open. Parents and staff are welcome – and encouraged – to attend!

KENNY FOUNDATION
The Kenny Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to support the mission of the school. The Foundation reviews funding requests from staff and parents and allocates money when the requests support the goals of the school. We raise funds by parents designating Kenny as the recipient of company giving programs and through our annual March Magic fundraising party.
When does the Foundation meet? The first Tuesday of every month (during the school year) at 6:00 p.m. in the Kenny Art Room. The meetings are open. Parents and staff are welcome – and encouraged – to attend!
